Giving

We believe giving is at the heart of the message of the Gospel. John 3:16 says, “God loved the world so much that He gave…” Money can be a sensitive issue, but it is also one of the best determining factors on the disposition of our hearts. (Matthew 6:19). We also believe in the power of generosity, what it does for the individual giving, and the receiving party.

WHY DO WE GIVE?

  • PEOPLE ARE MOST IMPORTANT. People are the focus of everything we do, not their money. Everyone is welcome, whether or not you give financially to NCC.
  • FINANCIAL GIVING IS ABOUT WORSHIP. We do not give out of duty or obligation. We don’t even give as an investment. Giving is an act of worship between you and God and therefore should not be done out of compulsion or guilt (Rom. 12:1; 1 Cor. 9:6-8).
  • IT’S ABOUT WHAT WE GIVE, NOT WHAT WE RECEIVE. At NCC, we pledge to continue to be good soil for your generosity. We exist to see those far from God raised to life in Christ. We do this through ministries here at NCC and by partnering with other local and global organizations.
  • FINANCIAL WISDOM. Reality is that items need to be funded to keep things moving along, and we’re doing our best to works with a lean budget that reflects what we feel is important to God. We also understand the value of planning and organizing, and we want to offer some practical tools to help you manage your finances God’s way. Specific times in the year we offer Financial Peace University. A new class will begin in April 2018! Click here to let us know you’re interested.

OPEN BOOK POLICY

We strive to live by high standards of biblical accountability. Things are pretty straightforward. Simply ask us, and we’ll show you.

There are over 2350 verses in the Bible that talk about money. They give us wisdom about saving, how we spend it, debt, and about how to not allow it to control us. If we ignore this wisdom we are only deceiving ourselves. It is like trying to live with fake money.

Spending

So many times we think our financial trouble can be answered by getting more income. What if we started by looking at how we are spending what we already have.
