What We Believe

our view on giving at NCC

We believe GIVING is at the heart of the message of the Gospel.

John 3:16 says, "God loved the world so much that He gave..."

Money can be a sensitive issue, but it is also one of the best determining factors on the disposition of our hearts. (Matthew 6:19). We also believe in the power of generosity, what it does for the individual giving, and the receiving party.

people are most important

People are the focus of everything we do, not their money. Everyone is welcome, whether or not you give financially to NCC.

financial giving is about worship

We do not give out of duty or obligation. We don’t even give as an investment. Giving is an act of worship between you and God and therefore should not be done out of compulsion or guilt (Rom. 12:1; 1 Cor. 9:6-8).

it's about what we give, not what we receive

At NCC, we pledge to continue to be good soil for your generosity. We exist to see those far from God raised to life in Christ. We do this through ministries here at NCC and by partnering with other local and global organizations.

giving across multiple campuses

Your giving at NCC not only supports ministry at your campus, but also ministry at our other NCC campuses. We are one church serving multiple communities - your giving is making a difference beyond your own city!

financial wisdom

Reality is that items need to be funded to keep things moving along, and we’ll do our best to works with a lean budget that reflects what we feel is important to God. We also understand the value of planning and organizing. Each of us are responsible to be good stewards of the finances God's given us. There are thousands of Scriptures about money and God cares how we spend it! Check out Dave Ramsey's resources to get started.

open book policy

We strive to live by high standards of biblical accountability. Things are pretty straightforward. Simply ask us, and we’ll show you.

financial partners

There are several intentional organizations that we partner with and support financially every month. When you give at NCC, you are contributing to these organizations and their ministries in our own backyard and around the world!

Missionaries

NCC currently supports two missionaries who have devoted their lives to sharing Jesus' Kingdom way of living with people in places where Christianity is not easily accessible.

Due to the sensitive nature and high-risk of being a Christian in these locations, the names of the missionaries and locations in which they are serving are publicly private to keep them safe.

Your giving helps to directly support their mission of sharing the love of Jesus to those who would not hear about Him elsewhere.

BibleProject

BibleProject is a nonprofit, crowdfunded organization that creates free educational resources to help people experience the Bible as a unified story that leads to Jesus.

They make free videos, podcasts, and classes that show the Bible in this way. By breaking down complex theology into accessible, visual explanations, they help millions globally read Scripture with deeper understanding, clarity, and personal engagement.

Their content is deeply trusted by our lead pastor, Aaron Escamilla, and we as a church support the vision and direction of BibleProject by giving to their mission.

Practicing the Way

Practicing the Way, founded by John Mark Comer, is an organization that has developed free resources to help churches apprentice in the Way of Jesus.

These free resources help people learn how to be with Jesus, become like him, and do as he did. They help communities integrate the practices and rhythms of Jesus and his earliest followers, creating space for the Holy Spirit to form people of depth and love.

New Community Church heavily aligns with the practices and teachings of Practicing the Way, many of which are implemented within our own rhythms and practices as a Church Community.

Investing into Dallas

With Dallas being one of the three cities God has led us to love and lead, we want to be intentional with how we are present in the community.

Every month, our generosity gets to be shown in various ways by representing Jesus to the Dallas community. Whether it's providing a music lesson for a student at Zounds Sounds (our current venue for NCC Dallas) or supporting a local business in East Dallas on behalf of New Community Church- we are passionate about letting our generosity begin from simply loving our neighbor.
